This course has been designed for someone who is wanting to work on frontline ambulance 999 calls for the NHS/NHS contracts. The three recommended courses are nationally recognised and will give you the qualifications to work as an Emergency Care Assistant for the NHS or a private ambulance provider. FREC 3 Qualsafe Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) This is a 5 day course running 9am till 5pm each day. Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to deal with a range of Prehospital care emergencies, such as: managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more. FREC 4. Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised Prehospital care qualification specifically designed for those looking to progress their career within the NHS or private ambulance services as an emergency care assistant. This is a 5 day course usually running 9am - 5.30pm, with 3 post classroom workbooks to complete. To gain entry to a FREC 4 course you must evidence 118 hours of contextualised learning as per Qual Safe specification. The learning can include working as a First Responder at events, joining webinars, reading articles, additional courses in First Aid(upskilling) and researching just to name a few. More details can be supplied upon request. CERAD. The purpose of the FAQ Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to drive an ambulance vehicle in response to an emergency. Running over 4 weeks, usually Monday to Thursday (10 hours a day). There will be an element of self directed study pre course and during the course. You must hold a full, valid UK driving licence for a minimum of 12 months with the full C1 category added to your driving licence. You must intend to be employed by, or accepted to be employed by a CQC registered organisation. Outside of England, equivalence applies. Further course information is available on request.
