Service Description

The QA Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (RQF) has been specifically designed for those looking to further develop their career within the Prehospital care sector. Fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level F, this fantastic qualification provides Learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to be able to assess and manage a range of Prehospital care situations, such as: acute conditions, life threatening infections, end of life care, childbirth and more. What’s more, this regulated and nationally recognised qualification forms part of a progressive suite of Prehospital care qualifications that lead to the QA Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice (RQF) Entry requirements for this programme are: completion of the FREC 4 qualification with proof of certificate and an up to date log of CPD. A good standard of English and Maths. This course is running for 5 weeks starting on the 2nd December with three weeks off after the first two weeks. The last two weeks starts on the 6th January to the 24th January 2025. Following the classroom sessions you will need to complete 750 practice placement hours working front line with a CQC registered company. You will also need to complete post course workbooks and reflections. This course does not cover any aspects of ambulance driving.
