Service Description

Future Quals CERAD C1 pathway with RPL. £1650 plus VAT For learners with a Fire or Police ERD qualification, this must be evidenced upon request. An initial training needs assessment is carried out individually to assess each learners prior knowledge and skills, thus resulting in a reduced length programme. The cost includes all tuition, practice sessions and examination costs. You will also receive full support from our experienced driver trainers. The purpose of the FAQ Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to drive an ambulance vehicle in response to an emergency. There will be an element of self directed study pre course and during the course. This qualification gives the learner the opportunity to: • Be able to prepare, drive and manoeuvre ambulance vehicles • Be able to drive an ambulance vehicle in emergency and non-emergency situations. What will you learn? Pre-shift vehicle daily checks Pre-driving daily checks Identifying and reporting defects Driving legislation and regulations Use of the vehicle's braking and steering systems Safely negotiation of bends Use of the vehicle' transmission systems Dual carriageway and motorway training Manoeuvring the vehicle, including reversing Vehicle's safety systems Electronic stability programme ABS braking Overtaking Adverse conditions on driving Human factors and their impact on driving Confrontational behaviour Navigating effectively following directions During routine and emergency situations Driving safely at night Emergency response driving All of CMS-Training tutors are qualified and experienced emergency ambulance driving instructors. Am I eligible for this course? In order to book this course with CMS training you must be: Aged 19 years or over. Hold a full, valid UK driving licence for over 1 year. Hold a valid Police ERD (emergency response driving) qualification and be able to evidence this. You must have the full C1 category added to your driving licence join the course.
