The QA Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (RQF) is expertly designed for individuals ready to advance in the prehospital care sector.
This highly regarded qualification equips you with the knowledge, practical skills, and clinical confidence to assess and manage a wide range of real-world situations, including acute conditions, life threatening infections, end-of-life care, childbirth, and more.
This intensive programme runs over 5 weeks starting 8th February – 30th March 2027, Monday to Friday. There is a 2 week break after week 2 of the course and the final day on Tuesday 30th March due to good Friday bank holiday.
To complete the qualification after successfully passing the classroom element, you will
- Undertake 750 hours of frontline practice placement with a CQC registered provider
- Complete post-course workbooks and reflective practice assignments.

- Be aged 18 or over
- Hold a valid FREC 4 qualification with evidence of certification and an up to date log of CPD.
