- The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) (FREC 3) is the starting point for anyone looking to gain essential, life-saving skills and is your first step into the world of prehospital emergency care. Comprehensive, hands-on training
Delivered over an intensive 5-day programme (37 hours), you’ll develop the knowledge, practical skills, and clinical competencies required to operate safely within a clinically governed prehospital care environment. The QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) (FREC 4) is a regulated, nationally recognised prehospital care qualification designed for those ready to take the next step in their career. Delivered over 5 days of classroom (39 hours) and 3 post course workbooks to complete. Whether you’re aiming to work within the NHS, private ambulance services, or specialist emergency roles, this course prepares you for a future in prehospital care and is the next step in your path to ECA.
- The FQ certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (CERAD), pathway 1 (C1). Delivered over 4 consecutive weeks (Monday to Thursday). Designed to give you the skills, confidence and qualification needed to drive an ambulance in routine and emergency situations. The final step in your journey to become frontline qualified.

- Obtain a career as an Emergency Care Assistant, event medical provider, healthcare assistant and supports specialist medical roles within the military, police and fire services.

AM I ELIGIBLE?
To book this course, you must:
- Be aged 19 or over
- Hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 1 year)
- Have a C1 category on your driving licence
You must also be working in, or intending to work in, a CQC-registered organisation to complete CERAD training, we can help.
